Chicago with Philipp Bajo

I was very excited to find out that one of my exchange friends from Germany was going to be in Chicago for an overnight layover on his way to Mexico. I got to make a whole weekend of it. On Saturday I saw one of my friends who goes to Trinity International University and it was fun to catch up with her. Later on that night I picked Philipp up at the airport and he was surprised at how cold it was.
I took him to IHOP and he had his first real American hamburger and a short stack of pancakes and then Cold Stone ice cream. I enjoyed showing him the finer aspects of American culture!

We spent Sunday morning in the city. We had breakfast with Cody at a Corner Bakery.
It was so much fun catching up with him. He's the first of my exchange friends who I have seen since I left Mexico. It makes me even more excited to go to Europe this summer and see my other friends!
